So I have had this model sitting for some time. ever since Forgeworld released it I wanted it and not long after that I purchased it. Now for years I have only painted under the rule that I must try to paint an army. This has not got me far, but since I recently went ah screw it and am now painting what I want to paint, I thought i'd give him a go.
This is work in progress and I am still learning how to get the whole glowing burning magma effect going but so far I am exceptionally pleased with the result.
Feel free to comment and so on and if anyone wants to know how I achieved it I will let them know to the best of my ability. For those of you who are thinking 'did he undercoat it?', I did however I used army painter's grey undercoat. I then ran a thin coat of bad moon yellow over all the magma parts so there was a very light internal colour to show the almost white hot heat of his interal gubbins.
This is my miniatures blog. I am keen to try and paint a single force, but in my heart I know that I am too fickle to do that, I change my mind on what I want to focus on at the drop of a hat. So in this blog I will post pictures on what I am working on, from whatever range. This will include scenery, scenic bases as well as miniatures of all shapes and sizes. I will try and keep it updated regularly so check back and I will try and post something new at least each week.

Scurrying Skaven
Ok not a brilliant picture, but you can see what's going on. Both the camera and the light were conspiring against me. Really going to have to get that painting desk set up that I keep saying I am going to do. Will try some better pics once I do some more work with them.

My own bases
I'll be honest, I am the first to go and buy funky resin bases for ease of use and the fact that they look great. However I have decided that I can model my own, so I should save some money for a change and actually do that. They dont need to be fancy, just different from a bit of sand and static grass.
Here is my latest attempts:
Let me know what you think?

Nemesis Dreadknight WIP
So first off my good friend John asked me to show some tutorials on this blog of mine. I intend to as time and various other things allow.
Below is the base I have been working on for my Nemesis Dreadknight. The plan is to have it looking like it is standing in a war torn city that has undergone sever chaos incursion. I plan the pain scheme to be dark and chaotic on it to contrast with the silver of the Grey Knights.
Secondly the Dreadknight. This is a truly nice model to build. A lot of people don't like it, but I really do love it. I can see me possibly getting another one for my force once I have put some form of paint on this one. I really do want to paint this model completely as it is currently inspiring me to do so.Welcome to my new war gaming hobby blog
Well this is the first post of my new blog. Unfortuntely I have had to use my iphone to take my pictures as I have misplaced my camera.
As per usual, I cannot stick to one project for long, so I am going to show you various projects I am working on.
First off, some Necron scarabs:
